The Atlas needs your photos!

Calling all the talented nature photographers out here: what better way to support the Atlas than to contribute your amazing bird photos and potentially see them featured and credited in the final published materials?

The Atlas is looking for good quality photos of all Newfoundland breeding birds, preferably taken in Newfoundland during the breeding season (and in breeding habitat wherever possible). We’re especially interested in photos that depict probably or confirmed breeding evidence (e.g. courtship displays, nests, young, birds carrying food/nesting, material, etc.) – but all photos are welcome!

Please submit highest resolution, nonwatermarked versions of your images by sending them to Jenna McDermott (jmcdermott@birdscanada.org). As high quality files are often too big to send as attachments, we ask that you use a file sharing platform (e.g. Google Drive, OneDrive, Flickr, DropBox, Google Photos, WeTransfer, etc). Please do not send photos via Facebook, as the quality deteriorates significantly. If you’re having trouble figuring out how best to submit your photos, please reach out to Jenna.

We can’t wait to see your fantastic bird photos!
